Barsha Priyadarshini from Bhubaneswar, India is a rambling poet on Instagram. She is also the author of a poem titled Senescence,
with several of her works being featured in anthologies, including an upcoming one titled, The Book of 200 Best Poems. What is really amazing is this poet is just 18 years old.
The Writing Wall Blog asked Barsha why she writes poetry and she told us it was because of her grandfather and how he influenced her to read. Barsha also said that her mother was her biggest supporter. Her favorite place to write her wonderful lines of poetry is her own room.
Curious about what a rambling poet reads? Barsha is currently reading You Can Win by Shiv Khera. Whether it's through writing or reading this poetess says she gains her inspiration through watching others and empathizing with people. Photo of Bursa Priyadarshini, Poetess
Besides poetry, Barsha enjoys writing short stories and reading non-fiction. In her spare time, she can be found reading, writing, and dancing.
What was really amazing was learning Barsha hosts an Open Mic Night she organizes for Instagram. There are so many talented and wonderful people in the writing community, and Barsha is definitely one of them.
It is because of these Open Mic Nights writers & poets all around the globe can connect and share their words.
The advice Barsha has for poets and writers out there in the indie community is "the best time to publish is now." And she could not be more right.
